LAS VEGAS ─ August 21, 2017 ─ Medical Imaging Corp. (OTC:MEDD), (OTC PINK: MEDD) announced today the next stage in the equipment overhaul to its imaging facilities. An upgraded Seimans CT machine has now been installed at Partners Imaging of Naples. The installed CT system will meet federal requirments, known as XR29, which require a low dosing software system to ensure the least amount of radiation exposure for patients. The system will also ensure the Company is maximizing Medicare and third party payment rates for CT scans performed at the Naples, Florida location.
"Our Naples CT business has been growing throughout 2017, so it was important to have the software installed to meet the new fedral standards and ensure that we had a stronger and newer CT machine with greater up time as we approach the start of our busy season this fall." said Mitch Geisler, CEO. "The machine has now been installed and we can resume scanning CT patients this week."
Earlier this year, Medical Imaging announced plans to upgrade various equipment as part of program to ensure we are meeting and exceeding the requirements for a modern imaging center. Previously announced was the switch of a center Xray machine to digital, followed by todays announcement of our CT upgrade.
